Stopwatch

Free online stopwatch with lap times: precise to a hundredth of a second, best and worst laps highlighted, results copied in one click. No install.

Everything runs in your browser — your data is never sent to any server.

Why an online stopwatch

A stopwatch is needed suddenly and briefly: time an experiment, a presentation rehearsal, a workout interval, a queue. A phone app means installing something; here the stopwatch is one click away in any browser, keeps hundredth-of-a-second precision, marks every lap and shows which lap was your fastest.

What it does

  • Measures to a hundredth of a second, driven by the high-resolution clock.
  • Unlimited laps with best and worst laps highlighted automatically.
  • Lap list copied to the clipboard in one click; Space controls start/pause and laps.

How to use

  1. Press Start — the count runs to hundredths of a second.
  2. Press Lap at each milestone; laps are listed newest first with the total.
  3. Stop, review your best and worst laps, copy the table or reset.

How it works

The stopwatch reads the high-resolution performance clock every animation frame instead of counting ticks, so it stays precise even if the tab briefly throttles. Laps, best and worst marks are computed locally — nothing leaves the browser.

Frequently asked questions

How precise is it?

The display shows hundredths of a second and the measurement source is the browser’s high-resolution clock, so accuracy is limited only by your reaction time, not the tool.

Are my laps saved?

The lap table lives in the current tab only. Copy it before closing, or take a reset — the tool deliberately keeps no history for privacy.
