Work Hours Calculator

Add your daily clock-in and clock-out times with breaks: get weekly hours, overtime past your threshold and gross pay with a custom multiplier.

Everything runs in your browser — your data is never sent to any server.

Why track worked hours

If you are paid by the hour, the weekly timesheet is where your money is decided — and manual subtraction across breaks and overnight shifts is where mistakes happen. This calculator does the arithmetic: enter clock-in and clock-out per day, subtract breaks automatically and apply your overtime rules.

What it does

  • Daily hours from clock-in, clock-out and break length — overnight shifts included.
  • Weekly total with overtime splitting after your threshold (e.g. 40 h).
  • Gross pay from your hourly rate with a custom overtime multiplier.

How to use

  1. For each worked day set the time in, time out and break minutes.
  2. Add your hourly rate and overtime rules if you are paid with a multiplier.
  3. Read the totals per day, the overtime split and your gross pay — then copy the summary.

How it works

Each day is converted to minutes; a shift that ends before it starts is treated as crossing midnight. Breaks are subtracted first, then hours are split into regular and overtime by your threshold and multiplier. Everything is computed locally in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How are overnight shifts counted?

If the clock-out time is earlier than the clock-in time, the calculator assumes the shift crosses midnight and adds 24 hours before subtracting the break.

Can I use it without the pay section?

Yes — leave the hourly rate empty and the tool will simply total your hours per day and for the week, with no pay calculation.
