Amount in Words

Convert a money amount into words for invoices and contracts: rubles, dollars or euros, with minor units in words or digits. Works in your browser.

Everything runs in your browser — your data is never sent to any server.

Why write amounts in words

On invoices, receipts and contracts the amount is traditionally duplicated in words so it cannot be quietly altered or misread. Writing it by hand is error-prone: numeral declensions and currency forms are easy to get wrong. This tool writes the amount for you, with correct grammar, in one click.

What it does

  • Converts an amount into grammatically correct words — including tricky numeral forms.
  • Supports rubles, US dollars and euros; minor units in words or as digits.
  • Handles amounts up to hundreds of billions and copies the result in one click.

How to use

  1. Type or paste the amount — spaces and a comma as the decimal separator are fine.
  2. Pick the currency and choose how minor units are written.
  3. Copy the finished wording into your document.

How it works

The conversion runs entirely in your browser: the number is split into groups of three digits and expanded with correct agreement of numerals and currency nouns. No data is sent anywhere.

Frequently asked questions

Which amounts can be converted?

Any amount from zero to hundreds of billions with up to two decimal places — typical for money. The comma or the dot both work as the decimal separator.

Why do currency words change form?

Slavic languages decline the currency noun after numerals: one ruble, two rubles, five rubles. The tool picks the correct form automatically, which is exactly what people most often get wrong by hand.
